Gérard Bertrand is the legend of organic and biodynamic farming in South France in the Languedoc-Roussillon region. With his work, he highlights the unique terroir of the region bordering the Mediterranean. All work in the vineyard and cellars is guided by a calendar based on the moon and the sun. The harvest date is determined by grape variety and only when the grapes have reached the desired point of ripeness. Cigalus is a certified organic and biodynamic wine grown entirely biodynamically and the care given to the vinification and aging of this wine is reflected in its freshness and roundness.
