Cover Drive is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon from two vineyards in Coonawarra and in Claire Valley in order to have a red dry wine rich and soft. This wine has a bright deep red wine with violet hue. The nose has notes of blackcurrant and blackberry aromas notes of liquorice, tobacco, savoury notes, garden herbs, spices and oak. The palate has soft silky tannins, hints of liquorice, tobacco, oak and fruit flavors. This red dry wine from Cabernet Sauvignon can be enjoyed now or after 5 years cellaring. Cover Drive will pair with red meat, game and pasta with red sauces.

Jim Barry was the first qualified winemaker in Clare Valley. Their name is a synonymous with the Clare wine region and their deep ties to the local community to this day. Over the last 60 years the Barry family has worked to establish a mosaic of sites – 11 vineyards covering in the Clare Valley and two vineyards covering 35 hectares in the Coonawarra. Each unique in soil profile, climate, aspect and elevation. Jim Barry Wines’ philosophy to winemaking is to own the vineyards to develop the best fruit flavours possible and retain these flavours during winemaking. Now the third generation follows the footsteps of their ancestors. Cover Drive Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the southern boundary of Coonawarra, Jim Barry purchased the 30-acre property and planted Cabernet Sauvignon.
