Miguel Torres arrived in the Curico Valley in 1979, after searching for a new location. On this journey he found excellent climatic conditions. In 2012 Miguel Torres vineyards became 100% organic. Miguel Torres Chile maintains the cornerstone concept that has marked its history and production chain: Fair Trade, organic farming, and innovation. In 1985, the 115-year-old Cabernet Sauvignon vines at the Fundo Manso de Velasco estate, yielded Miguel Torres Chile’s wine, were recognized over the world for its quality and faithful representation of Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon. The name of this red dry wine is a tribute to the illustrious founder of the city of Curicó. A 15-hectare Chilean estate planted in 1902 at the foot of the Andes and exclusively given over to Cabernet Sauvignon. During the vinification of Manso de Velasco, there is skin contact for a month, fermentation for 5 days and ages in casks of French oak.
