Domaines Ott wanted to create an exceptional wine that unites three terroirs and invites us to discover the very essence of their identity through three characters: the salinity of Clos Mireille, the smooth elegance of Château de Selle and the depth of Château Romassan. Every year these three wine domaines radiate a different energy and each one offers its own unique interpretation of Provence which it expresses through its soils and microclimates. Étoile means Star, a natural choice for the name of this cuvée. The star symbol, attached to the name Domaines Ott*, has been their guiding star from the very beginning. It symbolizes the pioneering spirit and determination of Marcel Ott, he who sketched this very same star onto the first bottles. In 1930, René Ott gave to the wines a unique and recognizable bottle. Today, it is still the signature of Domaines Ott* and it evokes the memory of an elegant amphora that kept the wine cool many centuries ago. A rose dry wine, made of Grenache and Mourvèdre grape varieties, that appears tο have the classic rose tint of the Provence wines, pale salmon pink. It has been partly aged in spherical ceramic vessels, in order to highlight the purity of the fruit.
