Red Slate is a white dry wine with a bright lemon color. Its aromatic palette consists of stone fruits, passion fruit, spices and the well-known characteristic of the variety, the minerality. On the mouth we have a beautiful balance between the fruit and its creamy texture. Minerality is not absent, on the contrary it comes and completes the beautiful structure of Red Slate. Its aftertaste is balanced and lasting. You could pair it with salads, fish, white meat.

Dr. Loosen produces a full range of Riesling styles. Before the harvest it is already clear for which wine each grape is intended. The aim of the winery is to produce wines that are both delicious to taste and faithful to their roots. The vineyards of the winery owe its excellent quality to the cool climate, the volcanic soils that are rich in minerals and the age of the Riesling vineyards. The vineyards are managed in accordance with the strict German environmental regulations. Only organic fertilization is used and the fruits are strictly sorted. Red Slate got its name from the type of soil. The winery produces this Riesling exclusively from vineyards in the regions of Urzig and Erden in Germany. It is fermented in 3000 liter barrels and left in the wine sludge for 12 months or more.
