Located in Epanomi Thessaloniki, Ktima Gerovassiliou cultivates the privately owned vineyard of 72 hectares with special care and love. Their goal is to produce quality wines. They make excellent use of the soil and climate of the area. Epanomi is an area surrounded by the sea, with a Mediterranean climate and rich soil with marine fossils. The first winemaking took place in 1986 at the modern winery located in the vineyard. The grapes go through excavators, the pneumatic press. It is stored in special tanks for pre-fermentation cold extraction and matures into stainless steels. For Malagouzia, they are following skin contact in cold, vinification is carried out in stainless steel tanks at 18 °C, while some is vinified in French oak barrels. The wine is left with its lees for a number of months to gain structure and body.
