Château Julia Merlot, Domaine Costa Lazaridi 750ml

A red dry wine from Merlot grapes. In its aromas we find red gooseberry, cherry jam and cedar with notes of ink. With the first taste we detect its fleshy body, abundant fruit and well-integrated tannins. Due to the acidity the high alcohol is not noticeable. Its long aftertaste is characterized by notes of chocolate. You could pair it with red meat, whether grilled or stewed, with poultry such as goose or even with oven-roasted pork.

The story begins in 1979, when Costas Lazaridis establishes in Xiropotamos, on the slopes of mount Falakro the first modern linear vineyard in Drama. In 1986 Costa Lazaridi built the only, at the time, modern winery in the region, to vinify the grapes of his private vineyards. Innovation and respect for nature are characteristic of every undertaking of Domaine Costa Lazaridi since the beginning. Since the 70’s, Costas Lazaridis deeply believed that his homeland can produce high quality wines, able to compete on the world stage and turn Drama into a City of Wine. This conviction became the vision of the company and is reinforced by the confirmation of specialists and consumers. In 2000 they planted a 20-hectare vineyard in Kapandriti, Attica and in 2003 the Domaine constructed Oenotria Land in Kapandriti, Attica.
