Bhilar Rioja Tinto, Bodegas Bhilar 750ml

The blend of Bhilar Rioja Tinto is primarily based on the Tempranillo variety, complemented by Garnacha and a small amount of Viura, which adds freshness and complexity. The nose reveals aromas of red and black fruits, such as cherry and berries, complemented by notes of Mediterranean herbs (thyme, rosemary) and subtle spicy undertones. On the palate, it exhibits a medium-to-full body, well-structured and elegantly integrated tannins, with a beautiful balance between fruit and acidity. The finish is clean, with mild notes of spices and a pleasant minerality. It pairs perfectly with grilled meats such as beef and lamb, cured meats and tapas, dishes with Mediterranean herbs, as well as semi-hard cheeses.

Bodegas Bhilar was founded in 1999 by Melanie Hickman and David Sampedro and is a certified organic and biodynamic winery (Demeter). In the vineyards, they employ traditional practices, such as using horses instead of tractors and avoiding irrigation, while winemaking follows a philosophy of minimal intervention.
