Description

Grande Reserve Naoussa is a red dry wine from the Xinomavro grape variety with deep ruby color and terracotta tints. The sweet aromas of dried fruit, dominated by tomato and fig, blend with the aromas of aging, like cinnamon, vanilla, wood and spices. A potent wine, with a body characterized by an abundance of mature tannins, a result of the long aging process and lasting aftertaste. You could pair it with game, red meat, and spicy cheese.

The Boutari Winery holds 6 wineries in Greece. In 1879 the Boutaris Company was founded in the town of Naoussa in Northern Greece with the main objective of producing and trading quality bottled red wine. The first privately owned winery and wine retail store was built in Naoussa, in 1906. This is where “Naoussa Boutari”, the first Greek red bottled wine, will be produced and bottled. Grande Reserve Naoussa is a trademark of Boutari Wineries since it is one of its first and best-known wines. A genuine example of a red aged wine that first introduced to the market the concept of a limited, controlled production made from grapes of selected vineyards. It goes through typical red wine vinification with a high level of compound extraction, essential for an aged wine. It ages a total of four years, two of which in French oak barrels.
