Description
Chenas has a beautiful dark red colour with aromas of peonies, roses, red fruits and pepper notes. This wine is fleshy, with excellent structure and roundness. The mineral elements indicate that it comes from clay and granitic soils. It has medium tannins and noticeable acidity. Enjoy it with stewed or grilled meat.

The Philippe Pacalet estate is located in Burgundy and is particularly known for its elegant and sought-after wines. He produces around 30 different wines, both in the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune. It started in 1999 by renting vineyards and then in 2007 bought a 19th century cellar in the heart of Beaune from the Montille family. He maintains strict contracts regarding organic farming, oversees the vineyards throughout the year and manages the entire harvest with his team. In the cellar, the practices are even gentler. These precious yeasts of the wines are left to continue their work undisturbed by additives or intrusive technology. The result in his wines is unparalleled clarity of fruit and a perfect capture of the terroir.
