Scaperdas Frères Rosé Brut has a bright, soft pink color in the glass and aromas of red fruits such as strawberry, cherry, and pomegranate. This is followed by notes of citrus and floral elements. Secondary aromas from its aging on the lees, such as brioche, fresh bread, and hints of nuts. A sparkling wine with freshness, structure, dynamism, excellent acidity, and fine bubbles reminiscent of the traditional champagne method used to vinify it. The history of Scaperdas Frères Rosé is closely linked to the family history of the Kir-Yianni Estate and the revival of the Greek winemaking heritage. The wine takes its name from the Scaperdas Frères brothers, ancestors of the Boutaris family. At the end of the 19th century, the Scaperdas brothers were active as wine merchants and are considered pioneers of organized wine production in Greece. This wine was created as a tribute (Hommage) to the generation that laid the foundations of modern Greek winemaking. The Kir-Yianni Estate was founded in 1997 by Yiannis Boutaris, one of the most important innovators of Greek wine. His main goal was to promote Xinomavro on a global level, showcasing its potential in different styles. Scaperdas Frères Rosé is one of the estate’s most ambitious projects.
