This sparkling wine has aromas of citrus fruits, green apples and notes of white flowers. From the very first sip, its lively acidity and complexity of flavours of dried herbs, citrus and savoury notes are revealed. It has a full body framed by crisp fruit flavours, sweet pasta and mineral elements. An excellent wine to serve as an aperitif or to accompany fresh seafood, grilled fish or light appetisers.

Artadi is known for its remarkable Rioja wines, which are sought after by wine collectors and enthusiasts around the world. In their joint partnership with Zapiain, in 2015 they launched a new project in the coastal town of Zarautz, in the Basque Country. Here they worked with experienced local viticulturist Inaxio Manterola to process 9.26 hectares of indigenous Hondarrabi Zuri and Beltza grapes, which are used to make this sensational and unusual sparkling wine. Izar Leku is produced using the traditional method and aged for 36 months on lees and in bottle.
