«Good wines are produced in the winery but fine wines are made in the vineyard”, Yiannis Tselepos, used to say and this was the cornerstone for the winery. Amalia Rose is made of Agiorgitiko grape variety, selected from vineyards in the Asprokampos region of Nemea. For the production of the base wine, grapes are harvested at an early stage where they are slightly unripe with a low potential alcoholic strength and high natural acidity. The traditional method follows, with a second fermentation in the bottle and maturation for at least 9 months in the presence of the fine lees.
