Mavro Kalavrytino, Tetramythos Winery 750ml

A dry red wine with a medium ruby color. Its aromatic bouquet consists of black fruits such as cherry, sour cherry, plum, sweet herbs such as eucalyptus, laurel, violet and notes of leather. In the mouth we have moderate body, balanced acidity and soft tannins. In its flavors we find red and black fruits with notes of sweet spices and herbs. Well structured tannins give a pleasant and long-lasting aftertaste. You could pair it with lightly cooked meat, and fish fillets.

The Tetramythos Winery is located in Ano Diakopto Aigialeia, on the slopes of Helmos. The brothers Aristos and Stathis Spanos integrated the vineyards as well as the other crops (Corinthian currants and olive) into organic cultivation. In 1999 they met the oenologist Panagiotis Papagiannopoulos and in the same year the first Tetramythos bottles were released. In the years to come, new vines were planted and in 2003 the construction of a modern and elegant winery began, which was completed in 2004. Mavro Kalavrytino is also the only single varietal wine from the rare variety.
