The aim of the winery is to produce wines that are both delicious to drink and true to their roots. The vineyards of the Dr. Loosen Winery owe their excellent quality to the cool climate, the volcanic soils rich in minerals and the age of the Riesling vines. On the bottle of Riesling GG Ürziger Würzgarten Reserve, the term GGR, which stands for Grosses Gewächs Reserve, is embossed on the bottle. This means that the wine comes from Grand Crus vineyards, is matured for 24 months with its lees and an additional 24 months in bottle before being released on the market.
