When we talk about Burgundian white wine, the famous Chardonnay comes to mind. However, there is another rarer variety, Aligoté, which gives us impressive white wines. Raisins Dorés has a yellow color with greenish tones. It has flavors and aromas of tangerine, lemon, honey, clove, rosemary, jasmine and mineral notes. On the palate, we detect crisp acidity and an impressively delicious finish.

Many notable houses in Burgundy are making Aligoté with spectacular results. One of them is the domaine Michel Lafarge, located in Volnay, in the famous Côte de Beaune. The domaine was founded in the 18th century, by Michel Lafarge’s great-great-grandparents and remains family-owned. In 1995, Michel Lafarge was one of the first in Burgundy to experiment with biodynamic viticulture and is known for his minimal intervention techniques in the vineyard and winery. Today, his son Frédéric has taken over the management.
