Castiglione Barolo DOCG, Vietti 750ml

Castiglione is a dry red wine with a ruby red color. It has aromas of dried plums, red and black cherries and notes of sweet rose. The aromatic ensemble is completed with notes of tobacco, leather and herbs that follow us through to the finish. On the palate we have ripe tannins embraced by the velvety fruit flavors. Excellent pairing with red meat, game, mushroom risotto or spicy cheeses.

The Vietti winery is located in Piemonte in northwestern Italy. It produced its first wines in 1919 in the heart of the Langhe. It was one of the first wineries to export Barolo wines to the US, in the 1950s.
