Afros is an intensely aromatic white dry sparkling wine with clear notes of pine resin and extra complexity on the palate, carrying all the freshness of the fermenting retsina. It has a pale lemon color and misty appearance, due to the fact that the wine is bottled unfiltered, with discrete bubbles that rise quickly to the surface of the glass. A perfect match to any seafood, small fried fish and Asian cuisine. You could also enjoy it on its own.

The aim of the winery is to redefine and highlight the retsina in Greece and abroad. The facilities of the Kechris winery are located in Thessaloniki and emphasizes on the Greek native varieties. Guided and inspired by the tradition, Kechris winery is using Roditis grape variety from vineyards in Amynteo and produces Afros, the first pet-nat retsina. Vinification in a closed inox tank. During the short period of fermentation, the fresh resin imparts it’s refreshing character in the wine which is bottled unfiltered.
