Cuvée Flamme Brut Rose, Gratien & Meyer 750ml

Cuvée Flamme Brut Rose has a pale pink colour with fine and delicate bubbles. It has aromas of cherries, blackcurrant, peach, citrus and biscuit. On the palate it is fruity, fresh, with a delightful acidity and a delicious and long finish. It is an ideal accompaniment for a bowl of fresh fruit, a light dessert with red berries or even as an aperitif.

The Cuvée Flamme is Gratien & Meyer’s flagship wine range. It does not use the Saumur appellation of origin, but Crémant de Loire, due to the fact that it gives greater freedom to choose the final blend. The base is Pinot Noir, followed in smaller proportions by Chenin Blanc and Chardonnay. The grapes are destemmed by hand, followed by rosé vinification. The second fermentation takes place in the bottle (according to the traditional method) and bottle ageing is over two years, giving it many elements in common with excellent champagnes, at a much more affordable price.
