Description
Prélude Grands Crus Taittinger has a pale yellow colour with silvery highlights and fine bubbles that form a persistent, creamy ring of foam. On the nose it is elegant and fresh. The initial mineral aromas quickly give way to herbal notes with floral scents and spicy cinnamon notes. The entry to the palate is clean and lively, with fresh citrus notes dominating. These pass into much fuller, round and silky flavours, dominated by sweet peaches. The finish is rich and lingering. A cuvée that makes an excellent aperitif or accompanies classic seafood dishes.

The Taittinger family has owned the house for a century. In 1915, Pierre Taittinger, settled in the Château de La Marquetterie located in the heart of the Champagne vineyards. The estate covers 288 hectares located between the “Côte des Blancs”, the “Vallée de La Marne” and the “Montagne de Reims”. Over three generations, many people have left their mark on the history, spirit, style and reputation of the Taittinger house. For the Prélude Grands Crus Cuvée, Chardonnay (50%) and Pinot Noir (50%) grapes are selected exclusively from the top Grands Crus vineyards. This rare blend is produced only with first pressing wines and offers finesse, structure, complexity and balance. It is aged for more than five years in cellar and is unique for its remarkable youth and great richness of aromas.
