The Semillon from Domaine Costa Lazaridi has a bright, pale yellow color in the glass. It displays an expressive aromatic profile. Against a subtle oak backdrop, it reveals aromas of acacia, lemongrass, and orange. At the same time, notes of honeycomb, peach, toasted bread, and sweet spices stand out. On the palate, the wine offers a soft and full-bodied initial impression and maintains good structure and balance. The acidity perfectly supports the wine’s richness and body, creating complexity and intensity. The flavor culminates in a lingering finish with citrus notes. It pairs well with shellfish and fish served with white sauces, cod croquettes, and smoked fish. It also pairs well with seafood or mushroom risotto, and pork dishes featuring fruit or exotic spices. Finally, it pairs beautifully with mild cow’s-milk graviera cheeses, such as those from Naxos or Tinos. Semillon Lazaridi is fermented and aged in oak barrels for six months along with the fine lees, to develop depth and texture. The wine can be aged for 5 to 6 years after harvest.

The history of Domaine Costa Lazaridi begins in 1979. At that time, Kostas Lazaridis established the first modern vineyard in Xiropotamos, Drama, on the slopes of Falakro. A few years later, in 1986, he built a winery that was cutting-edge for its time. In this way, he made full use of the grapes from his private vineyards. From the very beginning, the company invested in innovation and respected the environment. At the same time, Kostas Lazaridis strongly believed in the region’s potential. Specifically, he believes that Drama can produce high-quality wines. In this way, he contributes to the vision of transforming the region into a “City of Wine.” Growth then continued. In 2000, the company planted a new 20-stremma vineyard. Then, in 2003, it established the “Oinotria Gi” complex in Kapandriti, Attica. In this way, it further strengthened its presence in the Greek wine industry.
