The Vriniotis family winery is located in Yaltra, a small village in northern Evia, 14 kilometers from Edipsos. The connection with vines and wine dates back to ancient times, when the ancestors of Konstantinos Vryniotis began planting vines in the area and built the old stone wine press and winery. The privately owned 100-acre vineyard stretches across Yaltra Edipsos and the foothills of Mount Telethrio at an altitude of 200 to 450 meters. The slopes are also cultivated with the red Greek variety of Vradiano, an old variety from northern Evia that has been revived with care by the people of the Vriniotis winery. OMMA is vinified through spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts in open tanks, so that the character of Vradiano is fully expressed. The wine is aged in French oak barrels 225 L, for about 12 months and then aged in the bottle for 24 months.
