Description
No Name Barolo has a deep ruby color with brick-red highlights. Aromas of flowers such as violet and rose, red fruits, and hints of spices. On the palate, it has power and structure, is dry, velvety with balanced tannins and a long finish. It pairs very well with meat dishes, rich, mature cheeses and, in general, dishes that can stand up to a wine with character and body.

Borgogno Vigni is one of the most historic and traditional wineries in Barolo, Piedmont, Italy, with continuous wine production since 1761, meaning over 260 years of history. Borgogno produces traditional Barolo DOCG, using techniques such as long natural fermentation with indigenous yeasts and aging in large Slavonian oak tanks. No Name was born from an original protest idea by Borgogno: a wine that could be Barolo but was not approved by the DOCG committee, despite being essentially the same wine as an approved sample. They decided to release it under the name No Name, showing how complex wine regulations in Italy can be. Unlike Barolo DOCG, No Name is classified as Langhe Nebbiolo DOC, a broader category of wines from the same variety but with simpler specifications.
