It has a bright ruby color with orange highlights. It has aromas of plum jam, sweet cherry, dried flowers, chocolate, notes of leather, tea leaves, spices (cloves, paprika). In the mouth it is elegant with well-worked tannins, noticeable acidity and flavors of chocolate and sweet spices. Goes well with foie gras, lamb, veal, game and stews.

López de Heredia is one of Rioja’s greatest wine producers and the Vina Tondonia estate is considered one of the largest wine estates in the world. Founded in 1877, it is known for its traditional winemaking approach. Vina Tondonia Rioja Reserva 201, is aged for 6 years in old oak barrels and another 6 in bottle before being released, acquiring a shocking complexity with aromas of ripeness combining beautifully with dense fruit.
