Description
It has a pale pink colour that tends towards onion peel. A wine of distinctive freshness and elegance, it carries the varietal characteristics of Nebbiolo, bringing out its fruity and spicy notes. Fresh red fruit aromas overwhelm us, good acidity and an aftertaste with peppery notes. Enjoy it cool at 5-6° C as an aperitif or with a cheese platter and light appetizers.

The history of the estate has its roots back to 1670, when wines began to be produced in the Langa and Roero regions of Piemonte, Italy. Angelo Negro’s work has now been taken over by his son Giovanni along with his wife and their four children. They have focused on indigenous grape varieties, vinified using traditional methods, paying great attention to the quality and character of the wines. Maria Elisa Rose is made with the traditional method. Cold soft pressing of the grapes is done, then the wine matured for 6 months in its fine lees with batonnage and aged for 40 months in the bottle.
