Santico Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG, Cantina Santi 750ml

Like all Amarone wines, Santico is produced using the traditional appassimento method, where the grape bunches are left to dry after harvesting so that their natural juices and sugars concentrate before fermentation begins. The result is a rich, concentrated wine with a strong character.

In the glass, it has a deep ruby red color with intense reflections. Aromas of concentrated red and black fruits (cherry, plum). Flavors of chocolate, cocoa, spices, and hints of smoke. Rich, with a slow but steady evolution in the mouth, velvety tannins, and a long finish. This Amarone has enough body and depth to pair with red roasted meats and braised dishes, game, pasta with rich sauces, and mature cheeses. Ideal serving temperature 16-18 °C.

Cantina Santi was founded in 1843 by Carlo Santi and is one of the most historic wineries in the Valpolicella region of northern Italy, based in the small picturesque village of Illasi, in the province of Verona. From the beginning, the Santi family emphasized the quality of raw materials, using selected grapes from the best vineyards in the region.
