Description

In the glass, it has a beautiful salmon pink color and delicate aromas of flowers, red berries, citrus fruits, yeast, and spices. Rich body, good acidity, and a long velvety finish, where fruit, dryness, and minerality coexist harmoniously. It pairs well with raw or cooked shellfish, large fish such as salmon and tuna, and soft white cheeses.

The Taittinger family has owned the House for about a century. Its goal has always been the pursuit of excellence. In 1915, Pierre Taittinger settled at the Château de La Marquetterie, located in the heart of the Champagne vineyards. The estate covers 288 hectares located between the “Côte des Blancs,” the “Vallée de La Marne,” and the “Montagne de Reims.” Over three generations, many people have left their mark on the history, spirit, and style of Taittinger and, beyond that, on the image of Champagne itself. Vision, inspiration, strategy, development, and influence have contributed to the lasting shaping of the family’s destiny and the reputation of the Champagne House.
Comtes de Champagne Rosé 2009 is made from 100% Grand Cru grapes, with 70% Pinot Noir (of which 12% is added as still red wine) from the Montagne de Reims and 30% Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs. The legendary dancer Rudolf Nureyev once said: “When I drink Comtes de Champagne Rosé, I no longer dance, I fly…”
