Description
In the glass, it reveals rich aromas of spring white flowers, ripe tropical fruits, and citrus, layered over notes of white pepper and honey. The palate is structured and pleasant, with flavors of dried quince, vibrant acidity, and a refreshing finish. The aftertaste is long, with sweet and mineral elements. Serve at 11–13 °C after decanting. Thanks to its exotic and spicy character, it pairs beautifully with sushi, tuna carpaccio with mango and capers, or sweet-and-sour pork with quince. Cellaring potential: 10+ years.

The Karamolegos family began their winemaking journey in 1952 on the island of Santorini. The family’s passion and craft were inherited by grandson Artemis Karamolegos, who continued producing wines using traditional methods in a small winery in the village of Exo Gonia. Louroi Platia is part of the Single Vineyards series by Artemis Karamolegos, featuring limited-production wines from selected vineyard plots with history and unique character. Each carefully micro-vinified bottle is a testament to the outstanding quality and aging potential of Assyrtiko. Produced only in top vintages, these wines offer a singular expression of Santorini’s diverse terroirs and exceptional volcanic soils.
