Description
Its color is clear, deep mahogany with brown reflections. Complex aromas of dark chocolate, licorice, nutmeg, and truffle notes. The silky and rich palate offers flavors of plum, dried fig, blackberry syrup, with hints of pink pepper and ginger. Exceptionally long finish with notes of spicy chocolate and cinnamon.
AEN means “eternal” — a tribute to the timeless spirit of the House of Metaxa and the connection between three generations — Spyros, Andreas, and Elias Metaxa.
The blend was first created in the 1980s using aged distillates inherited by Elias Metaxa, and it continued to evolve until 2020, when it was released as “The AEN Three Generations”, in collaboration with current Cellar Master Konstantinos Raptis.
The blend features a high proportion of Muscat of Samos, select distillates aged to their fullest potential, and extracts of Mediterranean herbs.
