A white dry wine from Assyrtiko grapes with a bright yellow color. On the nose it has apple, pear and citrus aromas. The wine’s taste highlights the stone fruits, barrel notes and minerality. It has a pleasant texture, full mouth and acidity that gives freshness. Its aftertaste is long and has a slight saltiness. There is also balance between the aromas and the barrel. Excellent pairing with fatty fish, dishes with white mushrooms, seafood, and cold salads.

The story began in 1970. The company Kir-Yianni was founded in 1997 and the first harvest took place in the new winery. Today, Stelios Boutaris the 4th generation has taken over. The philosophy is still the same: innovation, consideration to the tradition, specialized knowledge of wine throughout the procedure. Their vision is to create a Greek estate for the production of high-quality wine. In 2004, Assyrtiko was planted in the vineyard, on the hill of Samaropetra, in the viticultural zone of Amyntaio. The grapes -upon the arrival at the winery- are cooled and go through a pre-fermentative extraction stage. Fermentation takes place in new French oak barrels of 228 lt. After the end of fermentation, the wine remains in the barrels where it matures for 8 months. The regular batonnage, that is carried out throughout this period, helps to shape the final rich character of the white wine named Tarsanas.
