The Boekenhoutskloof family presents us a Semillon in amber color. A white dry wine, where its aromatic palette consists of citrus aromas, apple blossoms and notes of herbs. The aromas of the mouth follow those of the nose accompanied by notes of exotic spices and ripe green fruits. Its aftertaste comes and beautifully closes this delicious experience. Boekenhoutskloof winery was established in 1776. Located in the furthest corner of the beautiful Franschhoek valley in Paarl, South Africa. The chairs on the wine label, pay tribute to the skills of the 18th century craftsmen and their achievements in creating beauty from natural sources, just like the pursuit of fine wine-making. This white, dry wine comes from the oldest vineyards of South Africa, planted in 1902. Through vinification, spontaneous fermentation takes place in classic barrels. It matures for 14 months in low temperature, without sulphur addition. This oxidative approach enhances the textural elements of the old vine Semillon, creating structure in a wine that fits for aging.
