It all started in 1959, the year the Gofas family decided to utilize the proprietary vineyard in the areas of Kouchi and Daphne, in Nemea. In 1998, the young Konstantinos Gofas decided to modernize the winery with new machinery. He separates the vineyards, applies innovative viticultural techniques, advances in new varieties plantings creating blends of international standards, aiming to produce high quality wines. Romeo & Juliet is vinified in absolute vacuum, with controlled fermentation temperature, to preserve the primary aromas. It remains for 6 months in new 225 liter oak barrels with its fine oak lees.
