The wine has a bright yellow colour with light green hues. Its fine nose is expressive, with aromas of apricot and honey coexisting with notes of tropical fruit and citrus. All the above are enhanced by a delicate sense of nuts and vanilla absorbed from the barrel. Its rich complexity is in perfect balance with the wealth of aromas of fruit, honey and nuts, and its refreshing acidity. You could age it up to eight years in order to have a rich, full-bodied wine with an exquisite bouquet of aromas. You could pair it with fish, duck, turkey, sea food or Asian cuisine.

Ktima Biblia Chora, is located in the village of Kokkinochori, Kavala, in Northern Greece. It was established by the oenologists Vassilis Tsaktsarlis and Vangelis Gerovassiliou who in 1998, planted the first organic vineyard of the estate in the foothills of the Mt Pangeon. Today, the 57-hectare privately owned vineyard surrounds the modern winery, where all the wines of the estate are produced. They aim to craft wines of exceptional varietal expression and quality that showcase the best that the Pangeon ecosystem has to offer. All wines are bottled at the winery and some of them are left to age in the bottle in special aging rooms located in the basement of the winery. Ovilos White is the result of blending Assyrtiko and Semillon grapes, which grow in the warmest but most barren spot in the vineyard, along the Pangeon hillside. The Semillon’s aromatic expression and high ageing ability are complemented by the strength, structure and exceptional acidity the Assyrtiko offers. After a brief pre-fermentation maceration of the grapes, the wine is fermented in French oak barrels. The fermentation and their contact with the lees highlight their character and add a rich complexity.
