Illivio, Livio Felluga 750ml

Illivio has a bright straw yellow colour. On the nose it is lively, complex, with intense apple and pear fruit and spring flowers. Due to its ageing in small oak barrels, we detect hints of sweet spices, such as nutmeg and vanilla, along with honey and pastry cream. The bouquet finishes with a pleasant hint of iodine. The palate is round, creamy and intense, with a full body and flavors of ripe fruit, such as apricots, mango and yellow peaches. Pairs well with fish, risotto and fresh cheeses.

Livio Felluga moved to Friuli in the late 1930s and settled in the gentle foothills of Rosazzo. With much effort and perseverance he managed to recover the hitherto lost wine tradition of Friuli. The Illivio label was created in 1998 by Livio Felluga’s children, who dedicated the wine to him on his 85th birthday. An impressive wine that unites power and elegance and needs at least four years in the bottle to begin to unfold its potential.
