In 1993, Terry Peabody and his wife Mary decided they wanted to create a family legacy. Craggy Range is a family owned winery established in 1998 and situated in the shadow of the spectacular Te Mata Peak in the premium wine growing area of Hawke’s Bay New Zealand. The wines of Craggy Range are produced at two sites, the Gimblett Gravels Winery and Giants Winery. Most of the Craggy Range wines are made at their Gimblett Gravels Winery located in the heart of the Gimblett Gravels Winegrowing district in Hawke’s Bay. From the lower terrace of Te Muna Road Vineyard in Martinborough, this wine is sourced exclusively from several parcels of vines. Grown on the lower terrace at Te Muna Road, this wine shows a unique level of texture and complexity. The cool climate of Martinborough ensures the aromas of Sauvignon Blanc with minerality while the rocky soils gives intensity on the fruit.
