In the glass it has a bright plum colour and aromas of red fruits, such as cherries and pomegranate, vanilla, pink pepper and mineral hints. It is medium-bodied, fruity, with flavors of ripe plums, berry jam, spices, anise and toasted oak. A rich, expressive and approachable wine with silky tannins, beautiful structure and a lingering finish. Ideal for both immediate enjoyment and short term ageing. It goes well with grilled red meat, burgers, lamb or pork skewers, cold cuts, grilled vegetables and medium-aged cheeses.
