Roi des Montagnes Syrah has a deep purple colour. We are flooded with aromas of forest fruits such as blueberries and sour cherries, notes of vanilla, chocolate, tobacco and pepper. The palate is rich, velvety with tremendous fruit concentration, balanced acidity and well-integrated tannins. You can pair it with game, fine red meats or aged cheeses. Enjoy it now or keep it for a few years to evolve even further.

The Papargyriou Estate was founded by Aristides Papargyriou in 1978 in Laliotis, Corinthia, when the first plantings were made in the area. In 1983 the construction of the winery in the vineyards begins, which is completed in 1996. In the summer of 2000, many of the vines were destroyed by fire. In December of the same year, the first estate of 7 hectares was purchased in Sofiana, Corinthia, which, with the new additions, now totals 16 hectares. For Le Roi des Montagnes Syrah, a different approach to growing and winemaking is taken. The over-ripe harvest gives us a wine with a particular aromatic and flavour richness, as well as great potential for evolution in the bottle.
