Description

Bramare Cabernet Sauvignon, is a red dry wine with deep red color and violet highlights. It has a powerful aromatic expression: black and red fruit, cassis, plum and blackberry, with herbal and earthy notes. The full-bodied palate and round tannins lead to a long and persistent finish. Ideal pairing: steak made with crushed black peppercorns, blue cheese, desserts dominated with red fruits. You can cellar it for about 4-5 years.

Viña Cobos makes wines that are authentic expressions of the terroir from which they come. Paul Hobbs, founding partner and winemaker at Viña Cobos, has worked since 1988 in the exploration of the different terroirs of Mendoza, looking for the most distinguished regions in Luján de Cuyo and the Valle de Uco, to produce wines that uniquely express their origins. Sustainable farming methods in the vineyard contribute to consistent yields of healthy fruit. In the winery, careful treatment of the grapes and meticulous winemaking techniques result in complex and elegant wines of subtlety and balance. Luján de Cuyo is known historically as the ‘prime zone’ for wine-growing in Mendoza. Its high elevation location (3,018-3,537ft), in combination with a semi-desert climate and low-nutrient gravelly soils, provide ideal conditions for the cultivation of high-quality fruit. The Cabernet Sauvignon was cold-soaked for 4-6 days before fermentation with selected and native yeasts in 8 ton closed-top stainless steel tanks with a total maceration of 24 days. Native malolactic fermentation took place in the barrel after which it matured for 17 months in French and American oak, 30% of which was new.
