Archegonos is a dry red wine with a deep ruby color. For the vinification, they use the method they follow in Amarone in Italy, in order to get the maximum concentration from the grape. They dehydrate the grapes in the shade on beds for a long period of time. This is followed by a slow fermentation and a stay with the grapes for 30 days. Arlekinon Chora Winery is located in Thessaly at the foot of Mount Narthaki. In the area of ancient Fthia and at an altitude of 380m from the sea, stretches their privately owned vineyard. With the basic principle of organic and dry cultivation, wines are produced with very low yields per hectare in a limited number of bottles, with the aim of highlighting the microclimate of the area. Each bottle of the estate results from the 100% dehydrated plots of their own vineyard, with a controlled yield that does not exceed 600 kg/acre. All of the estate’s wines have been certified organic since 2003 and won awards in world-renowned competitions.
