Chianti Classico Riserva, Castellare di Castellina 750ml

In the glass the Chianti Classico Riserva has a ruby red colour with some greyish highlights appearing as it ages. The nose has an intense violet aroma and elegance that is enhanced over time. On the palate the wine shows relatively dry and harmonious notes, while being slightly tannic, with a taste that becomes more velvety as it develops. Ideal with red and white meats and aged cheeses.

The Castellare di Castellina estate was born in the 1970s from the union of four estates, Castellare, Caselle, San Niccolò and Le Case, at the initiative of Paolo Panerai. The aim was and still is to produce wines of excellent quality. It coincided with the Renaissance of Italian wine, to which Castellare made its own contribution with a combination of tradition and innovation. For Chianti Classico Riserva, a careful selection of the estate’s best grapes is made. A wine that best interprets the Chianti Classico region to achieve the best from each vintage. Aging lasts about 15 months in used barrels, and then the wine remains for 15 months in the bottle.
