Verdea has a medium lemon color with green highlights. It has complex aromas of citrus fruits, but also notes of vanilla and bread. It has a medium body with flavors that follow the aromas of the nose and fascinate the palate with the balance of its acidity and freshness. The winery of the Grampsas family is located in the semi-mountainous village of Zakynthos, Lagopodo, at the base of Mount Vrachionas. Their purpose was to highlight the unexplored wealth of local varieties and to reposition Zakynthos in the place it deserves in the wine map of Greece. Verdea is a Traditional Wine and takes its name from the word verde which means green. With this word they describe the harvest which traditionally takes place earlier to get higher tannins. The wine ferments and matures in French oak barrels for 6 months on its fine lees.
