Roes Carignan, Oinotropai Estate 750ml

This wine has a medium ruby colour with blue-purple highlights. The Carignan variety is a wonderfully aromatic Mediterranean variety that expresses itself particularly strongly on the nose with red and black fruits, flowers and spices. Medium-volume mouthfeel with high fruit concentration but also balance thanks to the crisp acidity that gives liveliness and freshness. It has soft tannins and a long, spicy aftertaste. It goes well with grilled or stewed red meats, yellow cheeses and charcuterie platters.

The estate is named after the granddaughters of Dionysus Oenotropes and is located in Zeugolatios, Messinia. It consists of the winery built in 2010 and 65 acres of privately owned vineyards, some of which are over 40 years old. There the owner of the estate, Vassilis Kapopoulos, cultivates native and international varieties.
