This Vidiano has gold color with green and yellow hues. Its aromas consist of white flowers and citrus fruits, with a delicate buttery bouquet of a slight beeswax scent, apricot and melon. Its flavor is rich and, while being aged in bottle, gets velvet, oily and develops a dense apricot character and mineral flavors. It has a long-lasting aftertaste in apricot tones.. Aspros Lagos would accompany well with fish and shellfish.

The tradition and history of the Douloufakis family in vineyard cultivation and wine production begins in 1930, when the grandfather Dimitris Douloufakis first professionally produced wine in old traditional premises. Douloufakis’ wines are produced in Dafnes, a village very near Heraklion, Crete, Greece. Their privately owned vineyards are situated on hill slopes, the cultivation is done both by hand and mechanical means. Apart from the privately owned vineyards, grapes are sourced from farmers in their area. Those vineyards cover 25 hectares and are under their supervision in order to get excellent quality grapes. Aspros Lagos goes under classic white vinification and matures in new and second use barrels, made of acacia and French oak, for five months.
