Von der Mark’s Merlot M has quite intense aromatic elements, such as berry jam. This is followed by subtle green notes that give the wine a herbal character. On the palate it offers notes of blackcurrant, blackberry, violet, leather, smoked meat and hints of herbs. You can pair it with dishes with pork.

Jürgen Von der Mark is a passionate Master of Wine who produces wine in Baden, Germany, near the border with France. He is renowned for the delicious and “lively”, value for money wines he makes. For Merlot M, the grapes are carefully selected and fermented for 2 weeks in closed Roto fermenters for better fruit extraction. It is then aged for 16 months in new and used barrels to achieve greater complexity.
