Description
Cielo d’Ulisse means “the sky of Ulysses” and is inspired by Greek mythology. The color of this wine is deep red and has aromas of red fruits, herbs and hints of oak barrel. On the palate it has velvety tannins and a well balanced acidity. You can pair it with red meat and pasta.

Podere Le Ripi was founded by Francesco Illy in 1997 and is based in Montalcino, Tuscany. The estate cultivates 34 hectares of vineyards in two locations in Montalcino. It produces a collection of biodynamic wines from Sangiovese, Syrah, Trebbiano and Malvasia varieties. In the vineyard, harvesting is done by the hand and the grapes are placed in baskets according to the biodynamic calendar. When they arrive at the winery, the grapes are fermented with indigenous yeasts and macerated for 20 days in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then matured for 36 months in large oak barrels and for at least a year in bottle before release.
