Description
Dark purple in colour with seductive aromas of red and black fruits, herbs, pepper and hints of rose petals. The palate is dominated by crisp blackberries along with blueberries and black raspberries. These are followed by those of black pepper, thyme and rosemary. It is rich, ripe and complex with a delicious and long finish. Enjoy it now or wait a few years for it to reward you even more. Accompany it with red meat-based dishes.

Porseleinberg is a small estate in Swartland, which belongs to the Boekenhoutskloof estate, but is run completely independently. The estate focuses on Syrah, which is supported by other varieties of Rhone. Winemaking is as natural as possible, with natural yeasts and minimal intervention; the extremely rugged and dry shale mountain in which the vines extend does not make for easy viticulture, but the extreme terroir produces extreme wine. The result in the bottle compensates, making it one of the most sought-after Syrah in the world.
