THE EMOTION OF A GOOD WINE

A good wine reveals to the world the soul of its vineyard evokes its traditions and developments and encapsulates the unique notes of the season that ripened its grapes. Every vintage arouses a different emotion, making it truly unique. The difference is real history, the fragrant lands and the everyday lives of the people. Their ambition is to reflect this difference in their wines.

They take on this challenge with immense passion, crafting wines that conserve the richness of their identity, from the vine to the chalice, wherever they are tasted.

A FAMILY STORY

Beni di Batasiolo is the story of the Dogliani family. The family has lived the world of wine for five generations in Italy’s Langhe district, whose vineyards have contributed immensely to making Italian wines famous the world over.

Among these, Cerequio, Bussia, Brunate, Briccolina and Boscareto are the “cru” that produce the most excellent and highly prized Barolo. In harmony with the land, they renew their commitment daily to allowing nature to best express its essence, giving ample space to the vines and ensuring that the quality of the wine always comes before the quantity.

BATASIOLO – BAROLO BOSCARETO 2010

The other flagship of the Batasiolo estate comes from the village of Serralunga d’Alba. The Boscareto vineyard is located at an altitude of 420m with southwest exposure and producing a maximum of 10,000 bottles per year. Its characteristic is to produce wines very earthy, with full body, high tannins and very slow maturation. As a result, wines are difficult to consume when they are young and take time to “soften”. Following very strict legislation set in Slavonic / Slavic oak barrels for at least 24 months. Then for at least 12 months in stainless steel tanks and then aged in the bottle before commercialization. Attractive deep red color with shades of gray. Boscareto offers us generous aromas of sour cherry, cherry, combined with hints of sweet spices, toast and rose flowers. The aging in the bottle gave the wine very earthy aromas, truffle, tar, mushrooms, forest leaves, tobacco and leather. Full mouth with high tannins and acidity that all you have to do is pair it with red fatty meats, game, aged cheeses. A gastronomic wine ready to be consumed immediately, however, can be aged for up to 25 years. It is recommended to serve it at 18-20 ° C with at least 1 hour of decanting.
