In 1885, Felipe Rutini founded the winery Bodega La Rural in Coquimbito, Maipu, which marked Rutini Wines entrance into the world of wine. From the beginning, Felipe Rutini was guided by the motto ‘’Labor and Perseverance’’. This attitude shaped the development of this wines, which became synonymous with superlative quality. Following his innovative spirit, in 1925 the winery began to plant vines in the Uco Valley. From those first pioneering vines, the region has continued to expand its plantings and become one primary wine-producing areas in Mendoza. Antologia XLVI, is a blend of Malbec, Petit Verdot, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon and Carmenere grapes. It ages in French oak barrels for nearly a year. Antologia XLVI, has bright purple with violet hue. On the nose, the brio of fresh red fruits is immediately perceived. Followed by notes of mint. In this balance, frank aromas of dry herbs and some subtle smoke emerge. The same intense fruity sensation appears when you start to savor it. This red dry wine remains firm on the palate, revealing persistent freshness, achieved acidity and round, honeyed tannins that make it fluid and agile. You could pair it with beef or game.
